The Third Sunday After Easter

CALL TO WORSHIP:
We gather on this day in this way, to give glory to the God
who has dominion over all the earth. Although separate, our
hearts and minds unite, as we lift our spirits in worship and
honestly seek the Lord’s will for us. Lead us, O God, for we
are the people of Your hand!

Blest Be the Tie That Binds

A PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
Despite all that you have given us, O God, despite the many
ways you have so richly blessed us, we are still not the people
you created us to be. In your great mercy, we ask that you
would forgive our sins and free us from selfishness. Help us
as we strive to choose your will and obey your commandments.
Through Christ our Savior we ask it.  Amen.

AN ASSURANCE OF PARDON:
The Good News of the Gospel tells us that Jesus Christ came
into the world so that we might know of God’s love for us. This
love is so powerful, that it forgives us in our failures, accepts us
as we are, and sets us free for a life that is fulfilling. The marks
of this extreme love can be found on the cross of unconditional
forgiveness and in the empty tomb of eternal promise.

A BENEDICTION TO TAKE WITH YOU THIS WEEK:
As we leave this time of worship together, let us remember that we
are always held within the Hand of God, where we are welcomed,
protected, and loved. May this hand guide us in whatever we say,
whatever we do, and wherever we go.  Amen.
